Senior CRO Analyst

We are looking for a long-term, full-time Senior CRO Analyst who’ll be advising eCommerce companies on strategies and tactics that will increase their revenue, profits and conversion rates. 

You are expected to stay ahead of industry trends to maintain ConversionTeam’s position as an industry leader. You will also be instrumental in improving and growing the CRO department by mentoring junior team members. 

This is a fully remote position with a work week of 40 hours. 

Duties and responsibilities

The primary job duties of the Senior CRO Analyst are:

Gaining Insights about visitors’ purchasing habits and what would make them purchase more and more often

  • In order to do that, you will need to conduct Analysis, User Testing, Polls, Surveys, Interviews, Focus Groups, etc. to discover the customers’ behaviors
  • Leverage your experience, personality heuristics, and business knowledge to gain knowledge about how people are interacting with eCommerce sites.
  • Take advantage of opportunities based on impact to the site and difficulty to test/implement, and regularly maintain a backlog of opportunities. 
  • Be updated with industry standards and emerging trends for fresh, impactful, and relevant recommendations. 

Creating Data-Backed Recommendations based on the insights from research 

  • Prepare the requirements for each recommendation. These requirements must serve all of the many audiences (marketing, development, QA, etc.) that will be reviewing them, providing clarity through rough wireframes/mockups and clear written instructions.
  • Anticipate any key performance metrics required to report on the effectiveness of recommendations, and ensure non-standard tracking requirements are outlined for development. 

Testing to determine the impact of your recommendations

  • Test/report using A/B, MVT, Serial, etc. to learn if your recommendations have any impact. 
  • Analyze key audience and traffic segments in addition to the overall impact. 

Client Reporting & Communication

  • Conduct bi-weekly meetings.
  • Provide clients with insightful monthly reports.
  • Generate ad hoc reports to answer key business questions as necessary.

Strategic Roadmap

  • Work with clients to understand business goals and specific targets for our program. 
  • Create a strategic plan based on the client’s present state, goals, and known restrictions to maximize impact of the program. 
  • Tie specific tactics back to overall strategy. 

Qualifications

  • 4-Year degree
  • High understanding of online business and marketing tactics.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure.
  • Excellent communicator and team player.
  • 3+ years in actively and deliberately improving eCommerce sites.
  • Advanced experience with A/B Testing and Google Analytics 
  • Experience conducting market and audience research.
  • Experience with resource & client management (Internal or External).
  • Both agency and in-house experience are preferred.

Workweek Breakdown

75%  - Client Work   (30 hours week)

  • Client meetings
  • Business analysis & insight gathering
  • Drafting and communicating recommendations with an account program manager
  • Test and eCommerce reporting

 5%  - Business Development (2 hours weekly)

  • Authoring and publishing thought leader content
  • Speaking
  • Representing the company at conferences (once or twice a year)
  • Sales support

 5%  - Coaching (2 hours weekly)

  • Assisting in the training of less senior staff to become eCommerce experts.

10% - Meetings (4 hours weekly)

  • Company, team meetings, leadership meetings
  • Meetings to solve problems, to improve processes

5% - emails / follow-up (2 hours weekly)
